Ernestine Hayward in Logan oin Philadelphia, PA. As a senior citizen who suffers from diabetes, hypertension and is unable to walk on her own, Ernestine has had to contend with raccoons chewing through her roof which have constantly kept her up at night, escalating her blood pressure. Please listen to PICI Co-President Aaron Snyder’s radio interview along with Mrs. Hayward’s neighbor, Bernice Panky, on Solomon Jones’s Wake Up with WURD  for more information about raccoons in Ernestine’s neighborhood. In addition to working to rid her neighborhood of animal infestations, PICI has advocated for Ernestine to receive free insulins through the Sanofi Patient Connection for her diabetes as providing emotional support. Ernestine’s pulmonary doctor at Jefferson Hospital in Center City. Philadelphia is Dr. Weibel is also co-president of people in crisis Inc.(PICI) suggested that Mrs. Hayward request urgent medical assistance from people in crisis to help her obtain her insulin for free or the low cost since she was depriving herself of insulin because she wasn’t able to afford them so therefore it is a medical necessity for her survival her to attain assistance from PICI if she chose to do so the PICI team assisted Ernesti to acquire her insulin at no cost in 2017 we contacted nova Noris patient assistant program and since Ernestine was too weak to navigate through the complicated healthcare system alone, we strongly advocated to help her, acquire the necessary paperwork to complete the application process and to help her walk through the whole process. She was approved there for her no log insulin for fre when her prior doctor Dr Finkel changed her insulins to a Pediatra Atlantis people in crisis found the Sanofi patient assistance program that assisted her so for a few years, she has detained her Pedra and Lantis insulin at no cost. Presently she is in a nursing home and she wants to go home as soon as possible so the PICI team was asked by Ernestine and her family to contact home healthcare agencies. And work together with the family to find the lowest rate for reputable home healthcare assistance to be with her 24 hours the PICI team state that in order for her to not have to wait for her insulin to be in place at no cost when she arrives home people in crisis is working along with a family member in contacted Santa Fe to update the new application and we contacted the doctors office. They asked the doctor to fill out her part and since Ernestine has filled out her board, the application has been sent to Santa Fe and will take a while to process. Everything will be in place so she will acquire her insulin for free because this test has been done so she won’t have to go thru depriving herself of the influence when she returns in because they still are not affordable for her
